In the Fading Green Hour

This work is inspired by the myth of Baucis and Philemon, an elderly couple awarded a gift from the gods for their generosity and virtue. They ask that the same hour carry them off, and at the end of their lives they are transformed into two intertwining trees so that they may never live a day without each other. In the Fading Green Hour imagines their relationship from that point forward, exploring how they would continue to exist, communicate, and grow in their newly rooted forms.
